Dan Mooney
Senior Director of College Recruiting [email protected] 1-800-641-4487 Interview Q: What would you consider an accurate job description is for the program that you lead? A: Throughout your participation in the Exclusive B.A.T.S. Program, you will have our complete, undivided and “exclusive” attention. Our experts will provide personalized service to answer all of your college recruiting questions and develop an action plan to put you on the fast track to college baseball. There are numerous pitfalls out there, but you will gain “exclusive” knowledge that is personal to your goals as a student athlete, in order to avoid falling into those traps. Q: What is the best part of your job? A: Without question the fact that I get to still be around the game I grew up loving. Getting to work with kids and seeing them develop into college ball players and some professional ball players is something that you can truly take pride in. Q: What is the one downfall when it comes to your job? A: Definitely the hours can be taxing. With young kids and a wife at home I want to get to spend as much time as possible with them and sometimes I feel a bit short changed. Being able to work from home some days does make that a bit better but there are still days where family time is limited. Q: How many hours do you normally work? A: That is another perk of being where I am at. I get to make my own hours to an extent. Regardless when I start or finish, phone calls with families can occur to the late hours of the night for the west coast families we work with. So a set amount of hours is just not something I could clearly define. Q: How did you get where you are today? A: Well after playing college baseball at a junior college, then the University of Florida, and then North Carolina State, I was lucky enough to play pro ball. Inevitably going through all of this I developed quite a few contacts and when my playing days were over I wound up here. For sure large in part due to my baseball background is how I am where I am today. Working my butt off never hurt either. |
